If you are experiencing a lost dental crown emergency, we are here to help you at Urgent Dental Care. We do not recommend that you glue your dental crown back on yourself. Your crown needs to be properly re-cemented by our dental team to ensure that the tooth underneath stays protected.
If your crown is intact, you can temporarily reposition it over your tooth until you receive dental care. Do not force the crown back onto your tooth, and avoid chewing on that side. Do not use household glue, super glue, or other adhesives, as they can damage your tooth and make it more difficult to restore.
Contact Us as Soon as Possible
If you experience any of the following after losing a dental crown, contact Urgent Dental Care:
- Tooth pain or sensitivity
- Swelling
- A sharp or broken tooth underneath the crown
- A crown that feels loose or does not fit correctly
- A crown that fell off due to decay or damage
If you still have your crown, we recommend bringing it with you to your appointment. Our dental team can determine whether it can be re-cemented or if it will need to be replaced.
