All-on-4 treatment requires multiple visits. The consultation and the surgery are separate appointments, each with a different purpose.
What Happens at the Consultation?
During your first visit, our dentist takes 3D imaging of your jaw, checks your bone density, reviews your oral health and medical history, and determines whether you are a good candidate for All-on-4. If you decide to go ahead with surgery, we use the images to plan the exact placement of your implants and begin designing your temporary teeth.
What Happens on Surgery Day?
On surgery day, your dentist places the implants into your jawbone, then attaches a set of temporary teeth before you leave. Many patients leave our office with a full set of teeth that same day.
How Long Does the Full Process Take?
The temporary teeth stay in place while your implants heal and fuse with the bone over several months. You will have follow-up visits during the healing period so we can check on your progress. Once healing is complete in about three to six months, you will return to our office for your final set of teeth.
